“Imagine living in a world where there is no domination, where females and males are not alike or even always equal, but where a vision of mutuality is the ethos shaping our interaction.”
“If any female feels she need anything beyond herself to legitimate and validate her existence, she is already giving away her power to be self-defining, her agency.”

A Poem from This June Morning
**side note: sometimes people get worried about me when I write about this stuff. It’s ok to worry, but don’t worry about me, worry about the patriarchal system!
How can I tell you men
you foreigners to this country
to my country, to the country that raised me into
my dreamy and battered womanhood
Miami is not
the coolest place in the world.
“The women there are as hot as Europeans,” you say
I’m here to tell you that women are none of your business.
I’m choosing to weave my words
into thick tapestries
covering the walls of my bedroom.
They hang as intricate tatters
built of deep purples, reds and blues,
surrounding me with peace.
This is another way of saying words out loud.
